Hello world! I haven’t posted in a while, so I thought I’d share something fun and cool you guys can make.

First of all, I really like the iPhone 5, and I have an LG Optimus. And those are the two phones I made templates for. I made the LG Optimus template today (March 14) from scratch, and I just found an iPhone 4 template and edited it to the rumored pictures of the iPhone 5. Now, you can make a template of your phone, it’s pretty easy. Just take pictures of the sides, front, back, top, and bottom of your phone, cut them out so it’s just the sides, ect, of the phone, and paste them together.

Anyways, this was just a really quick post I wanted to share. Here’s the templates…

iPad 2

In apple,apps,at&t,camera,computers,cool,fingerprint scanner,gadgets,ipad,ipad 2,iPhone 4,iPhone 5,jailbreak,Other,technology on February 25, 2011 by horseshowchamp Tagged: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hello, world of technology! Here we have the iPad 2. It’s rumored to come out March 2nd? Maybe, not too sure. Now a little about the iPad 2 or “iPad II”. Now, I’m not too sure what that thing is on the bottom of the iPad 2, but I might have an idea…

First of all, front and back camera. Is it just me, or does it seem like Steve Jobs can’t get over this iPod Touch look? First the iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad, and now the new iPod Nano? Anyways, it seems the iPad 2 is going to have a front and back camera, and look just like the new iPod Touch 4g, only three times the size. Which just might mean Facetime!! As well as iMovie and photo shop. I knew this would happen! The only thing it’s missing (besides a USB port) is a webcam!  That’s why I waited.

Next of all, we also might be seeing a USB port. I’ve got to say, that would be awesome. Take your photo/videos right off your camera and put them on your iPad 2, upload them to Facebook, tweet them on Twitter, all that stuff. That would also be great for when you’re out of town, at a coffee shop or at the hotel. The viewing experience would be wonderful too.

Maybe, better screen resolution. Is it just me, or is the screen on the iPad kind of… dark? And hurts your eyes to look at? Now, I don’t own an iPad, but I’ve used them before at the AT&T store. And really, I didn’t like it that much. I though the screen wasn’t that good. So, we might be seeing a better, higher resolution screen. The screen on the iPhone 4 and the new iPod Touch is great, I think so at least.

Maybe, just maybe, a different kind of back. I’ve heard bad things about the back on the iPad that’s out now. That kind of tin man backing gets dents in it and looks awful. I’ve heard someone say they had a great case and it still got dents in it. I don’t think Apple wants their technology to look like this when people are using it out somewhere. Better backing, pretty much a must-have for the iPad 2. No one wants their $700 iPad full of dents.

If you read my last post about the iPhone 5, you know I really think the Mac look on the new upcoming Apple gadgets would look awesome… And now I feel the new iPad, Tablets, and all those things, are going to make laptops obsolete. Maybe we will have an iMac sort of look on the home screen? It would be a change in the Tablet world, just like a Macbook, but without a real keyboard. With the Webcam, this would be one of the greatest things in the techno world.

We also might be seeing a fingerprint scanner, but I think it’s unlikely. I thought that those bars on the bottom of the iPad 2 might have been a hand sencor, but like I said, it’s unlikely. If you’ve seen or heard of the Motorola Atrix 4G, it has a fingerprint scanner on the side of the phone. That way you can set it to your fingerprint, and no one else can get into it. Plus it won’t unlock itself while it’s in your pocket/handbag. That would be a nice thing for the iPad 2, but since that pretty much just came out and the iPad is about to come out and already is out in some places, it’s unlikely.

I’d say we are going to see two cameras, and probably a USB port. Other than that, about the same. I don’t know, am I the only one that’s probably going to get it the first day it comes out? What do you think of the iPad 2? Thanks for reading.

iPhone 5

In android,apple,apps,at&t,camera,cell phones,cool,gadgets,iPhone 4,iPhone 5,mobile,Motorola Atrix,phones,sprint,verizon on February 24, 2011 by horseshowchamp Tagged: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hellow’ phone-following world! Here are some things we MIGHT be looking for in the iPhone 5. First of all, the iPhone 5 is rumored to come out sometime in September 2011.

Okay, so we might see a switch in the cameras. The front-facing camera might be on the side of the phone, not the middle. And the back camera might be on the middle, not the side. Hopefully we will be seeing something like an 8MP camera, like the HTC Evo. The 5.0 camera on the iPhone 4 is okay, but since Android is making really good cameras on their new phones, I don’t think Apple is going to let Android top them.

Facetime. The new Motorola Atrix 4G can do Facetime over WiFi and 3G network. That means Apple is most likely going to do the same. It pretty much works like this, Apple puts out something really good, then here comes Android, then Apple again, and now Android is at the top. Why wouldn’t Apple put out something that will take Android awhile to top? Anyhow, iPhone 4 only Facetimes with iPhone 4, unless Android gets or has the same app for it. So I would say Facetime over 3G or 4G is about to come, and not just WiFi.

Bigger screen. I don’t really know what it’s called, but look at your phone/iPod Touch. Look at the sides of the screen. You see where around the side of the screen it’s black? With the iPhone 5, that’s not there anymore. The screen reaches all the way to the end of the front. If you look in this picture…

You can kind of see it.

Fingerprint unlock. The Motorola Atrix has a fingerprint scanner on the… Side I think? Anyway, it sounds really nice and cool. Just to put your finger on the scanner and it unlocks the phone! How easy would that be? Now you won’t have to worrie about your friend finding out your phone password and stealing your girlfriend/boyfriend’s number! Plus it’s just easier and you probably won’t forget your password.

4G. Like I said, the new Motorola Atrix (which is fighting for best smartphone with the iPhone 4) runs on 4G. The Atrix is now known for the fastest smartphone there is, with an amazing processor. 4G might be faster, but is it really better? Does it keep the phone from dropping calls? Or is it so fast, it just shuts down. I’ve heard a rumor or two about 4G, and it didn’t sound very good. More than likely, iPhone 5, 4G with a faster processor.

i.OS. The first iPod touch (before the iPhone came along) had something like i.OS 1.0 or something. We all remember what that was like. It just had the black background with the apps on it, and it probably wasn’t very fast. Now we have i.OS 4.2 I think, and now you can change the background. But what is the new i.OS with the iPhone 5 going to be like? I’m hoping it will be something like a Mac. Where all the apps are on the bottom on a little bar thing and you slide through the bar to find one. Who knows, we just might get that.

Safari. I really think we need a better browser on the iPhone 5. I was hoping something like the notification bar on the android, only with your favorite webpages on it. Say if you download the Facebook app. It will be on the home screen, and you can copy/drag it to the notification bar and that way it’s right there. Like this maybe…

More carriers. Now with the iPhone 4, we can only get AT&T, or Verizon. Both cost a lot of money, and are not the best to deal with. Maybe Sprint? I for one thing if Apple is open to more carriers, it means more money for them. Okay, lets say someone has Sprint. They want an iPhone, but they have to get AT&T or Verizon. They don’t want to switch, so they just forget about it. Apple just lost money they could have had. Even if they just started selling the 3Gs to more carriers it would be better! You all think so?

What the iPhone 5 needs. It would be cool if it had something like wireless headphones. I’ve tried to run with headphones with the cord, and I can’t stand it. A lot of people like to run and play their iPod/iPhones while they’re working out. I know Apple wants to keep the iPhone a non-slider phone with an on-screen keyboard, but sometimes it’s really hard to type in a keyboard like that. Maybe a better touch screen keyboard?

What do you want to see in the iPhone 5?

Why you should go out and buy an Android

In android,apps,at&t,camera,cell phones,cool,mobile,phones,sprint,verizon,virgin mobile on February 24, 2011 by horseshowchamp Tagged: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hello! Today I’m going to tell about why you should go out and buy a Google Android phone today!

First of all, we all know that about 70% of people you see are either on their phones talking to someone, or checking their email, or just texting someone. That is because the world is now pretty much being taken over by phones. I’m not saying this is really good, but smartphones can really help us out at times.

For one, say you are trying to watch your diet. You are at the store and you need to add up how much fat is in the dinner you’re about to cook. But you don’t have any way to add it up, or you just forgot your little Weight Watcher’s thing. What do you do? If you had an Android, you just go on the free Weight Watcher’s app. Also lets say you want to buy a gift for your little girl that just got done with kindergarten. You see the Barbie Dreamhouse playset she has been wanting for months. But it’s $49.99! You know you can get it cheaper somewhere else. You’ll have to wait tell you get back home and look it up online and get it a few days late… Not anymore! If you had an Android, just get on the free barcode scanner app and get prices online and at stores near you! It shows prices, how many miles away the store is, and it even lets you view where the store is on Google Maps! You find out it’s at Target on sale for $29.99! You just saved 20 bucks right there!

Now how about you’re out with a few friends, planning to go eat next Monday at 12:30. You can’t remember if that’s when your little girl, who just got done with kindergarten, has her first dance lesson then or not. You don’t know what to say! It’s at home, on a note stuck to the fridge! But if you had an Android phone, just take a short look at the widget that has the date and time of her dance lesson! If you didn’t know, you might say you can’t go that day, come back home, and it turns out her lesson is at 4:15 on Thursday!

Now how about you’re out shopping again. You see a sign for a website you’ve been trying to find! But you’ll probably forget the name of it by the time you get home. You are about to write it on some paper. You think you shouldn’t do that, it’s just wasting paper! You look at the sign a little bit more, and it has one of things you hold your Android up to and it takes you to the website! But you still don’t have an Android! How about you’re waiting in line at Starbucks. You’re just dying for a coffee and a nice donut. There’s a million people in line for the same thing! You can’t wait through all that! You get on your Android and use the Google search bar on your phone! You search “Starbucks near me”, and you find out a Starbucks opened just down the road! You go down the road and there’s no one in line! You’d still be waiting in line at the last place if you didn’t have your Android!

That’s just a few of the many things you can do with an Android. Thanks for reading.

Motorola Atrix vs iPhone 4

In android,apple,apps,at&t,camera,cell phones,cool,fingerprint scanner,gadgets,iPhone 4,iPhone 5,jailbreak,mobile,Motorola Atrix,motorola atrix vs iphone,Other,phones,verizon on February 22, 2011 by horseshowchamp Tagged: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hey people of the phone world. Today, the new Motorola Atrix came out. It has a front and back camera with Facetime. The back camera is 5.0mp and shoots 720 HD video.

The Atrix is for sale at the AT&T store for $199 with a 2-year contract. Also for sale at Wal-Mart for $129, and at Radio Shack for $149. But, not sure yet if we should forget the Atrix and buy the iPhone 4, or the upcoming iPhone 5. The Atrix is somewhat larger than the iPhone 4, and the iPhone has a better screen resolution than the Atrix. I for one think the iPhone is more of a basic phone for people that don’t do much on computers, while the Androids are more for people that use the computer a lot and know almost everything there is to know on a PC or Mac. I have owned two iPod Touches over the years, and I have got to say, you pretty much just start using it. Also I own an Android, but that is MUCH harded to learn how to use. I’ve owned it for 2 weeks now and I still don’t know everything about it.

Now lets talk a little about apps. Android has more apps like the scanner and stuff. iPhone has more fun apps like Zombieville USA, Doodlebuddy, More pizza!, and Doodle jump. But most of iPhone apps you have to pay $0.99, with Android, it’s almost all free. The one thing I would buy an iPhone over Android is iMovie. Yes, on iPhone 4 you can film, edit, and upload right to Youtube all on your phone. iPhone isn’t the only one winning in apps though, Android is winning too. With Android, anyone can make an app, unlike iPhone. Which means more apps in the Android market.

Also, you can play Farmville on an iPhone, you can’t on Android (at least not yet). Rumors say the Farmville app will be for Android when Android 2.3 OS comes out.

The one thing you CAN NOT do on iPhone, that you can on Android? Widgets. You can pick from I think 10 widgets per Android phone, plus you can download and make your own.
