Cisco stops making Flip Video Cameras

In battery, camcorder, camera, Cisco, computers, cool, Flip, Flip Video, gadgets, Other, technology on April 12, 2011 by horseshowchamp Tagged: , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hello.

So today, Cisco (Owner of Flip Video), said they’re “killing” the Flip Camera. Now, I post about phones, but the internet is blowing up with this story, and it seems no one really knows why Cisco has stopped making Flip Video Cameras. Well, I’m here to say why.

Two years ago, Cisco (Brand of TVs, ect) started a brand selling small pocket-sized camcorders called Flip Video Cameras. They’re small, HD camcorders that has a USB that flips out of the top of the camera. This is how they get the name Flip. Sooner than ever, Flip Video had become the most popular video camera in the U.S. and outsold Cisco. Cisco doesn’t say why Flip Video Brand is being shut down and not sold, But we can probably guess why. I believe Cisco doesn’t want fame from Flip Cameras, they want fame for their computers and TVs. Now, I’m speaking for all the Youtubers out there right now… We’re NOT happy. Famous Youtubers and Vlogers use Flip Video Cameras almost everyday.  I make vlogs using my Flip Camera, aswell as about 50 other Youtubers out there. Today when I read they stopped making them, I went and bought another Flip Camera! People on Twitter are going to Best Buy’s and getting all the ones left! Guess Flip Video Cameras will be another great thing that is gone…

Hello world! I haven’t posted in a while, so I thought I’d share something fun and cool you guys can make.

First of all, I really like the iPhone 5, and I have an LG Optimus. And those are the two phones I made templates for. I made the LG Optimus template today (March 14) from scratch, and I just found an iPhone 4 template and edited it to the rumored pictures of the iPhone 5. Now, you can make a template of your phone, it’s pretty easy. Just take pictures of the sides, front, back, top, and bottom of your phone, cut them out so it’s just the sides, ect, of the phone, and paste them together.

Anyways, this was just a really quick post I wanted to share. Here’s the templates…

How to make your Android battery life last longer

In android, apple, apps, at&t, battery, camera, cell phones, computers, cool, fingerprint scanner, gadgets, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, jailbreak, mobile, Motorola Atrix, motorola atrix vs iphone, phones, QR code, smartphones, sprint, T-Mobile, technology, verizon, virgin mobile on March 2, 2011 by horseshowchamp Tagged: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Androids are wonderful phones, work really nice, speed is amazing, but they die like turkeys on thanksgiving. Here’s a few tips to make your Android battery life last longer.

First of all, turn your ringer off. Especially when texting. Not only is it annoying to hear someone’s phone go off every minute, it also kills the battery. Keytones do the same. If you’re waiting for a call and you have to turn your ringer on, turn off your keytones, or just don’t use the phone till after the call. Also, set your phone on either vibrate or the ringer, not both. It may not seem like it, but it runs the battery down even more.

Next thing is put Advanced Task Killer on your phone. Even when you think you’ve shut off everything on your phone, really, it’s still running. With my Android, I shut off everything when I was done with it, or I thought I did… I went to Radio Shack to see why my battery was going dead about every 4 hours. The guy there said to get Advanced Task Killer, and I just kind of thought it wasn’t going to do anything, since I shut off everything on my phone before I lock it. WRONG. When I opened Advanced Task Killer for the first time, I had almost two pages of stuff running behind my back. All the other smart phones I’ve had before my Android, when you shut what you’re running off, it’s off. Android likes to open stuff behind your back that you don’t even use! Advanced Task Killer is really easy, every time before you lock the phone, hit “Kill Apps” and it stops everything that’s running on your phone. This alone made my battery life go from about 4 hours, to about 7 hours. Besides, the app is free!

Now for a classic that everyone says to do, turn your screen brightness down. This also may not seem like it does anything, but it really does work. The bright screen is really nice, but it can take your battery life down from 6 hours, to about 4 or 5. That extra one or two hours might just save your life. The brighter it is, it take’s more power, more power, kills the battery really fast. If you can’t live without your phone being bright, at least set it to about half way. It’s not so dark you can’t see, and it’s not so bright it’ll put your eyes out. I keep mine at about 40% and it works just fine. A little tip is, if the screen is too dark at half way, get a nice bright background. It will brighten up your screen, and you’ll still be saving battery life.

Also, take off your widgets. They will kill your battery like nothing else. Back when I had widgets on my Android, my battery went from about 12 hours, to about 6 hours. They look awesome and are really helpful and handy, but sadly, they’ll make your battery life go by like a truck driver passing grandma moses down the highway. If you can’t take them fully off, set it to one that doesn’t have any animations on it. Also under settings, then Applications, then Running, set your phone so it only runs the widget while the phone is in use. If it’s running all the time, it will kill your battery really fast. If you can’t find out how to do this on your phone, set it so it only collects data lets say… Every 6 hours. This way it’s not running every minute.

Try clearing the cookies on your phone every few days. Open the main browser and get on “More”. When you’re on “More”, settings should be at the bottom. I can’t really tell you how to clear the cookies, because the way it’s set up on your phone might be different from the way it is on mine. Just look it up on Google or under your phone’s user manual. Anyhow, this doesn’t delete everything on your phone, it just deletes stuff from websites. Everytime you open a website, you phone stores data from that website. Clearing the cookies will delete all of this data from your phone’s memory. Everything will stay the same, just your phone will have more space and will run faster. I’d say this will save you about 20-30 minutes of battery life.

That’s about all. Other than just don’t keep your phone running Facebook or the web all the time, and don’t get too many apps. Also people to say sometimes you should let your phone battery life go dead for a “new charge”, do not do this. A battery only has so many charges before it goes bad. Lets say your phone battery has 1800 charges. When you plus it in before it goes dead, you are still keeping a charge in it. If you let your phone go dead every time, it takes your battery life down to about 700 charges. Which means a new battery will be crossing your path soon and that can be about $100 if you buy it new.

QR codes

In android, apple, apps, camera, cell phones, computers, cool, gadgets, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, jailbreak, mobile, Other, phones, QR code, smartphones, technology on February 28, 2011 by horseshowchamp Tagged: , , , , , , , , , , , ,

This is a QR (Quick Response) code. It’s used as a bar code for camera phones, to bring you to a website in seconds without any typing or searching. A QR code can be for text, for a URL, contact info, and much more.

Have you ever seen a movie or TV show about the future? You might have seen these weird bar code things all over everything. That might be what the world is coming to, only with QR codes. QR codes are a really easy to get to a website without typing anything at all. Just open the app for iPhone, Android, and other phones with a camera, hold the phone up to the QR code, and in seconds it brings you to the website. You can make a QR code for your Facebook account, Twitter, blog, or anything else. Do a Google search and you can find a website where you can make as many as you want for free. They’re really easy and fun to make. Anyways, these might just be our new high-tech future. If you’ve been to Best Buy anytime lately, you’ve probably seen the wall-sized QR code on the side of the store near the roof. If you search them in Google too and look under images, you can see them on the sides of buildings, stores, on billboards, almost everywhere.

So how do QR codes work? They work something like this. You hold your smartphone up to the QR code and it scans it. By doing this, it takes a picture of the QR code, scans it with a laser, and it links you to the URL, text, of other. It may just look like a mess of black boxes on top a big white box to us, but all of these little black boxes stand for something that makes up the URL code or text. The laser will scan it in a certain way to find out the pattern of the little black boxes, which make up the letters of the URL, text, and more. After that, it enters it, and takes you to whatever the QR code was for.

Android or iPhone, knowing which is best for you.

In android, apple, apps, at&t, camera, cell phones, computers, cool, fingerprint scanner, gadgets, ipad, ipad 2, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, jailbreak, mobile, Motorola Atrix, motorola atrix vs iphone, Other, phones, QR code, sprint, T-Mobile, technology, verizon, virgin mobile on February 27, 2011 by horseshowchamp Tagged: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Android or iPhone? You are going to buy either one or the other. But which one should you buy? Both are wonderful smartphones, only you need to know which best fits your likings and needs.

Now, I’m going to try to keep this short and sweet, and so you don’t get even more mixed up than ever. I right now own an Android, and I also own and iPod Touch. I’m not going to say one is better than the other, and I’m not going to hate on either company, because like I said, both are great phones, you just have to find one that fits your needs. Some people would be better off with an Android, and some with an iPhone. I’m going to tell you about apps, keyboards, and much more.

First of all, you might want a real keyboard and not a fake on-screen keyboard. They’re about the same, but the on-screen ones are harder to type on if you have big fingers. Which case, you might want to look at a slider phone. Android has both slider and non-slider phones. iPhone only has the on-screen keyboard.  If the keyboard isn’t a big thing to you, then probably you’d do just fine with an on-screen keyboard. It just takes some getting use to. Even still, before you get a contract, you might want to test out a few phones, both with a keyboard and without. Also maybe ask a few friends that have touch screen keyboards on their phones.

Next are carriers. iPhone only has AT&T and Verizon. Android has AT&T, Verizon, Virgin Mobile, Sprint, and more. But that doesn’t make the Android better, just because Apple picked only two of the best carriers to sell the iPhone. You just have to find the carrier that fits your needs and likings, as well as who has more bars where you live and work. All are about the same in price anyways, if not, it’s close.

Next is also something you need to think about. Apps. iPhone and Android apps are about the same, but there’s more to say that about it. Android apps are cheaper and almost all are free. With a lot of iTunes apps, you have to pay at least $0.99 per app. Android has more apps like scanners, and where you can set your Android up as a wireless hotspot. iPhone has more fun apps like Farmville, Zombieville USA, BASIC! and more. Although most of the Android QR code scanners and generators are now for iPhone too. With the Android Market, you don’t really have to sign up for it, unlike iTunes. Unless you plan on buying apps you have to pay for, the Android Market is pretty much hassle free.

How about size and weight? iPhones are small and lightweight, aswell as some Androids. Most Androids are large and kind of heavy (for a phone at least). They’re pretty much the same, but some Androids are almost twice the size of an iPhone, for a bigger screen, and some are build kind of awkwardly. If you want a small pocket-sized phone, probably iPhone is what you want. If you want a nice big screen with a lot of room, an Android is right for you.

What about widgets? You might not know what a widget is, but a widget is what you see on the home screen of an Android. You know, that shows the time, date, weather, all that stuff? That’s a widget. With an Android you can pick from 10 widgets per phone? I Think so… Plus you can download more and make your own. iPhone doesn’t have widgets. iPhone doesn’t support flash and I think that’s why. Widgets will kill your battery in no time though, so you need to think about that too.

I just said iPhone doesn’t support flash, so I though I’d talk about that too. With iPhone you can’t get on Safari and watch YouTube, you have to download the free app first. Which is a little bit of a pain, but at least it works. Just thought I’d tell you all about that really quick.

Browsers? iPhone only has Safari. With Android, you can get almost any browser you want. Don’t get me wrong, I like Safari, it just sometime, you might want something else. With Android, you can do whatever you want with the phone you paid for, not like iPhone. With iPhone you pretty much have what Apple gives you, and you can’t “hack” the phone. Android doesn’t care what browser you use, how you use it, anything like that. Apple does.

Also, fingerprint scanners. Yes, a few phone that just came out have fingerprint scanners. Don’t want your phone unlocking in your pocket? Don’t want your friend getting into your phone? Just set it to your fingerprint and scan it to unlock! Now, right now I think only one of two Androids have the fingerprint scanner, but the iPhone 5 (that’s coming out in September, so say rumors) might have a fingerprint scanner too. I for one think the fingerprint scanner is a great idea. Us teens are always worried about at least one of our friends getting into our phones. And I’m sure it’s the same with adults too. Plus if your phone ever gets lost or stolen, the people that found it or took it won’t be able to get into your phone and see all your stuff. This could be the future of phones, so if you’re going to get an iPhone, probably wait for the iPhone 5. That way if the scanner thing gets put in every new phone, your new iPhone won’t be a piece of “last week’s” junk after only having it for 3-4 months.

So I would pretty much say if you want more of a “fun” and basic phone, iPhone is right for you. If you want a phone that you can put different browsers on, and so-called, hack. Probably you should get an Android.

iPad 2

In apple, apps, at&t, camera, computers, cool, fingerprint scanner, gadgets, ipad, ipad 2, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, jailbreak, Other, technology on February 25, 2011 by horseshowchamp Tagged: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hello, world of technology! Here we have the iPad 2. It’s rumored to come out March 2nd? Maybe, not too sure. Now a little about the iPad 2 or “iPad II”. Now, I’m not too sure what that thing is on the bottom of the iPad 2, but I might have an idea…

First of all, front and back camera. Is it just me, or does it seem like Steve Jobs can’t get over this iPod Touch look? First the iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad, and now the new iPod Nano? Anyways, it seems the iPad 2 is going to have a front and back camera, and look just like the new iPod Touch 4g, only three times the size. Which just might mean Facetime!! As well as iMovie and photo shop. I knew this would happen! The only thing it’s missing (besides a USB port) is a webcam!  That’s why I waited.

Next of all, we also might be seeing a USB port. I’ve got to say, that would be awesome. Take your photo/videos right off your camera and put them on your iPad 2, upload them to Facebook, tweet them on Twitter, all that stuff. That would also be great for when you’re out of town, at a coffee shop or at the hotel. The viewing experience would be wonderful too.

Maybe, better screen resolution. Is it just me, or is the screen on the iPad kind of… dark? And hurts your eyes to look at? Now, I don’t own an iPad, but I’ve used them before at the AT&T store. And really, I didn’t like it that much. I though the screen wasn’t that good. So, we might be seeing a better, higher resolution screen. The screen on the iPhone 4 and the new iPod Touch is great, I think so at least.

Maybe, just maybe, a different kind of back. I’ve heard bad things about the back on the iPad that’s out now. That kind of tin man backing gets dents in it and looks awful. I’ve heard someone say they had a great case and it still got dents in it. I don’t think Apple wants their technology to look like this when people are using it out somewhere. Better backing, pretty much a must-have for the iPad 2. No one wants their $700 iPad full of dents.

If you read my last post about the iPhone 5, you know I really think the Mac look on the new upcoming Apple gadgets would look awesome… And now I feel the new iPad, Tablets, and all those things, are going to make laptops obsolete. Maybe we will have an iMac sort of look on the home screen? It would be a change in the Tablet world, just like a Macbook, but without a real keyboard. With the Webcam, this would be one of the greatest things in the techno world.

We also might be seeing a fingerprint scanner, but I think it’s unlikely. I thought that those bars on the bottom of the iPad 2 might have been a hand sencor, but like I said, it’s unlikely. If you’ve seen or heard of the Motorola Atrix 4G, it has a fingerprint scanner on the side of the phone. That way you can set it to your fingerprint, and no one else can get into it. Plus it won’t unlock itself while it’s in your pocket/handbag. That would be a nice thing for the iPad 2, but since that pretty much just came out and the iPad is about to come out and already is out in some places, it’s unlikely.

I’d say we are going to see two cameras, and probably a USB port. Other than that, about the same. I don’t know, am I the only one that’s probably going to get it the first day it comes out? What do you think of the iPad 2? Thanks for reading.

iPhone 5

In android, apple, apps, at&t, camera, cell phones, cool, gadgets, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, mobile, Motorola Atrix, phones, sprint, verizon on February 24, 2011 by horseshowchamp Tagged: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hellow’ phone-following world! Here are some things we MIGHT be looking for in the iPhone 5. First of all, the iPhone 5 is rumored to come out sometime in September 2011.

Okay, so we might see a switch in the cameras. The front-facing camera might be on the side of the phone, not the middle. And the back camera might be on the middle, not the side. Hopefully we will be seeing something like an 8MP camera, like the HTC Evo. The 5.0 camera on the iPhone 4 is okay, but since Android is making really good cameras on their new phones, I don’t think Apple is going to let Android top them.

Facetime. The new Motorola Atrix 4G can do Facetime over WiFi and 3G network. That means Apple is most likely going to do the same. It pretty much works like this, Apple puts out something really good, then here comes Android, then Apple again, and now Android is at the top. Why wouldn’t Apple put out something that will take Android awhile to top? Anyhow, iPhone 4 only Facetimes with iPhone 4, unless Android gets or has the same app for it. So I would say Facetime over 3G or 4G is about to come, and not just WiFi.

Bigger screen. I don’t really know what it’s called, but look at your phone/iPod Touch. Look at the sides of the screen. You see where around the side of the screen it’s black? With the iPhone 5, that’s not there anymore. The screen reaches all the way to the end of the front. If you look in this picture…

You can kind of see it.

Fingerprint unlock. The Motorola Atrix has a fingerprint scanner on the… Side I think? Anyway, it sounds really nice and cool. Just to put your finger on the scanner and it unlocks the phone! How easy would that be? Now you won’t have to worrie about your friend finding out your phone password and stealing your girlfriend/boyfriend’s number! Plus it’s just easier and you probably won’t forget your password.

4G. Like I said, the new Motorola Atrix (which is fighting for best smartphone with the iPhone 4) runs on 4G. The Atrix is now known for the fastest smartphone there is, with an amazing processor. 4G might be faster, but is it really better? Does it keep the phone from dropping calls? Or is it so fast, it just shuts down. I’ve heard a rumor or two about 4G, and it didn’t sound very good. More than likely, iPhone 5, 4G with a faster processor.

i.OS. The first iPod touch (before the iPhone came along) had something like i.OS 1.0 or something. We all remember what that was like. It just had the black background with the apps on it, and it probably wasn’t very fast. Now we have i.OS 4.2 I think, and now you can change the background. But what is the new i.OS with the iPhone 5 going to be like? I’m hoping it will be something like a Mac. Where all the apps are on the bottom on a little bar thing and you slide through the bar to find one. Who knows, we just might get that.

Safari. I really think we need a better browser on the iPhone 5. I was hoping something like the notification bar on the android, only with your favorite webpages on it. Say if you download the Facebook app. It will be on the home screen, and you can copy/drag it to the notification bar and that way it’s right there. Like this maybe…

More carriers. Now with the iPhone 4, we can only get AT&T, or Verizon. Both cost a lot of money, and are not the best to deal with. Maybe Sprint? I for one thing if Apple is open to more carriers, it means more money for them. Okay, lets say someone has Sprint. They want an iPhone, but they have to get AT&T or Verizon. They don’t want to switch, so they just forget about it. Apple just lost money they could have had. Even if they just started selling the 3Gs to more carriers it would be better! You all think so?

What the iPhone 5 needs. It would be cool if it had something like wireless headphones. I’ve tried to run with headphones with the cord, and I can’t stand it. A lot of people like to run and play their iPod/iPhones while they’re working out. I know Apple wants to keep the iPhone a non-slider phone with an on-screen keyboard, but sometimes it’s really hard to type in a keyboard like that. Maybe a better touch screen keyboard?

What do you want to see in the iPhone 5?

Why you should go out and buy an Android

In android, apps, at&t, camera, cell phones, cool, mobile, phones, sprint, verizon, virgin mobile on February 24, 2011 by horseshowchamp Tagged: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hello! Today I’m going to tell about why you should go out and buy a Google Android phone today!

First of all, we all know that about 70% of people you see are either on their phones talking to someone, or checking their email, or just texting someone. That is because the world is now pretty much being taken over by phones. I’m not saying this is really good, but smartphones can really help us out at times.

For one, say you are trying to watch your diet. You are at the store and you need to add up how much fat is in the dinner you’re about to cook. But you don’t have any way to add it up, or you just forgot your little Weight Watcher’s thing. What do you do? If you had an Android, you just go on the free Weight Watcher’s app. Also lets say you want to buy a gift for your little girl that just got done with kindergarten. You see the Barbie Dreamhouse playset she has been wanting for months. But it’s $49.99! You know you can get it cheaper somewhere else. You’ll have to wait tell you get back home and look it up online and get it a few days late… Not anymore! If you had an Android, just get on the free barcode scanner app and get prices online and at stores near you! It shows prices, how many miles away the store is, and it even lets you view where the store is on Google Maps! You find out it’s at Target on sale for $29.99! You just saved 20 bucks right there!

Now how about you’re out with a few friends, planning to go eat next Monday at 12:30. You can’t remember if that’s when your little girl, who just got done with kindergarten, has her first dance lesson then or not. You don’t know what to say! It’s at home, on a note stuck to the fridge! But if you had an Android phone, just take a short look at the widget that has the date and time of her dance lesson! If you didn’t know, you might say you can’t go that day, come back home, and it turns out her lesson is at 4:15 on Thursday!

Now how about you’re out shopping again. You see a sign for a website you’ve been trying to find! But you’ll probably forget the name of it by the time you get home. You are about to write it on some paper. You think you shouldn’t do that, it’s just wasting paper! You look at the sign a little bit more, and it has one of things you hold your Android up to and it takes you to the website! But you still don’t have an Android! How about you’re waiting in line at Starbucks. You’re just dying for a coffee and a nice donut. There’s a million people in line for the same thing! You can’t wait through all that! You get on your Android and use the Google search bar on your phone! You search “Starbucks near me”, and you find out a Starbucks opened just down the road! You go down the road and there’s no one in line! You’d still be waiting in line at the last place if you didn’t have your Android!

That’s just a few of the many things you can do with an Android. Thanks for reading.

Top reasons to NOT to get Virgin Mobile

In android, camera, phones, virgin mobile on February 23, 2011 by horseshowchamp

Hello world!

So I have had Virgin Mobile for about… 6 months maybe, and in that short time, I had to swich phones 3 times! If that doesn’t say it already, I’m going to tell you the top reasons to NOT get Virgin Mobile.

Reason number one, $25 a month, for almost everything?! Even unlimited web? Everything but 300 minutes? Take a second to think about this on your own. Who is going to give you unlimited web, data, texting, and 300 minutes a month for only $25. AT&T is at least $50 a month for all that! So are T-Mobile, Sprit, and Verizon. And they all have good phones and you get almost full bars everywhere. With Virgin Mobile? Haha, nope.

Reason number two, the phone’s web. The Virgin Mobile internet is awful. It doesn’t work about half the time. You call Virgin Mobile, they don’t even seem to care. Virgin Mobile is somewhere across the world from us. Also some of their phones don’t do Facebook Mobile Uploads. Trust me, you can try, and try again… But it’s not going to work. This will only make you even more mad. The phone I have now from them is the LG Optimus V. You’d think that would be a good phone, right? Well it’s not. It’s Virgin Mobile’s “best” phone and it just crashed on me a while ago. The internet quit working and the people at Radio Shack said it’s broken. I’ve only had that phone for 2 weeks, so it’s going to be replaced. Still, this doesn’t make me very happy.

Reason number three, their phones. Yeah, I was just talking about that. Well, my sister and I have had a total of 5 phones from Virgin Mobile in about 6 months. First we each got an LG Rumor 2, and I do have to say, that phone was pretty good (Mine at least, keep reading). But I wanted something “better”, so I swiched to the LG Rumor Touch. That phone was okay I guess, and my sister stayed with the Rumor 2. Pretty much right when I left my Rumor 2, my sister’s phone crashed, and she had to switch to my “old” one. Those phones did okay, but they started just kind of going bad. Like they didn’t slide really good, almost like they were loose. Also the Twitter wasn’t working really good on mine. So now here comes the LG Optimus V, Android phone, all that stuff. We go and buy that one, thinking and hoping it will be better and all those bad things will be gone and long gone. They were working like the best phone in the world, but it was really just the best phone at Virgin Mobile… Everything they did was just wonderful. I loved my phone so much, even went and bought a green case thingy, and a spare battery for it. And like I said before, the Optimus just crashed. Just like my sisters Rumor 2. And I’ve seen tons of people around with the Rumor 2 from N’telos (you can tell because the Rumor from there is blue) and I don’t really think you would be seeing that many people with it if this phone just crashes. After my Optimus crashed, Radio Shack replaced it. You know what happened? The new one doesn’t work either! Plus they only have I think 5-6 phones to pick from.

So I would say if you are still going to get Virgin Mobile, get the LG Rumor 2. Even though my sister’s crashed, mine still works fine. I still wouldn’t mind going back to that phone, but not with Virgin Mobile and if it would do Mobile Uploads. Plus I’ve gotten too much into Androids lol. If you are going to get this more for texting and not the web, I would say this would do okay. It is slow and it does take some time for the message to send, but it does it.

Motorola Atrix vs iPhone 4

Hey people of the phone world. Today, the new Motorola Atrix came out. It has a front and back camera with Facetime. The back camera is 5.0mp and shoots 720 HD video.

The Atrix is for sale at the AT&T store for $199 with a 2-year contract. Also for sale at Wal-Mart for $129, and at Radio Shack for $149. But, not sure yet if we should forget the Atrix and buy the iPhone 4, or the upcoming iPhone 5. The Atrix is somewhat larger than the iPhone 4, and the iPhone has a better screen resolution than the Atrix. I for one think the iPhone is more of a basic phone for people that don’t do much on computers, while the Androids are more for people that use the computer a lot and know almost everything there is to know on a PC or Mac. I have owned two iPod Touches over the years, and I have got to say, you pretty much just start using it. Also I own an Android, but that is MUCH harded to learn how to use. I’ve owned it for 2 weeks now and I still don’t know everything about it.

Now lets talk a little about apps. Android has more apps like the scanner and stuff. iPhone has more fun apps like Zombieville USA, Doodlebuddy, More pizza!, and Doodle jump. But most of iPhone apps you have to pay $0.99, with Android, it’s almost all free. The one thing I would buy an iPhone over Android is iMovie. Yes, on iPhone 4 you can film, edit, and upload right to Youtube all on your phone. iPhone isn’t the only one winning in apps though, Android is winning too. With Android, anyone can make an app, unlike iPhone. Which means more apps in the Android market.

Also, you can play Farmville on an iPhone, you can’t on Android (at least not yet). Rumors say the Farmville app will be for Android when Android 2.3 OS comes out.

The one thing you CAN NOT do on iPhone, that you can on Android? Widgets. You can pick from I think 10 widgets per Android phone, plus you can download and make your own.
